At Mooloo Brew, every cup we pour and every plate we serve is rooted in the story of our founders, Ben and Sarah von Wartburg, two food-loving locals with a passion for people, flavour, and community. Their journey began in 2010. It began as a licensed café, restaurant, and bar—an easygoing spot where Ben and Sarah brought great food, good vibes, and community together.
From there, things grew in all the best ways. They opened a 1950s American diner, a gelato bar, and a catering company that quickly became trusted by major hospitals across Liverpool, Sydney, and Campbelltown; local councils; Sydney Airport; production teams from shows like MAFS and A Place to Call Home; Channel 7 and Channel 9; and countless schools, weddings, celebrations, and corporate events.
Over the years, they’ve supported many charities, donated services, and helped raise funds for meaningful causes, including Cure for Brain Cancer. Sarah even stepped into the ring for a corporate boxing match to raise money for rare cancers
With Sarah’s background in design and food creation and Ben’s expertise as a chef working for the QLD Government, the pair have always shared a deep love of honest, delicious food. Their four kids grew up in their businesses, helping create a family culture filled with connection, loyalty, and lifelong friendships.
Today, they’re proud to call the Sunshine Coast home and Mooloo Brew is the heart of that home. Here, you’ll find warm smiles, fresh flavours, and a space where everyone feels like a local. Because for Ben and Sarah, community isn’t just part of the business, it’s the whole brew.
